BECOMING CATHOLIC AS AN ADULT
If you are engaged or married to a Catholic and have thought about converting to Catholicism, or if you are spiritually attracted to the Catholic faith, you are welcome to participate in the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) process. In a supportive small group setting, those who want to join the Catholic Church meet to learn about scripture, the history of our Church, our forms of prayer and devotional practices, and our understanding of community and social justice.
Each person who joins the RCIA process needs a Catholic sponsor to serve as a spiritual mentor. Lifelong Catholics and those who went through the RCIA process in the past discover that being an RCIA sponsor is a wonderful way to reconnect with their faith and to share that faith with someone who is eager to become part of our religious community. To join the RCIA process to to volunteer to serve as a sponsor, contact Rose Anna Higashi at 354-4061, x135.
