The parish community supports Catholic Charities financially through the annual May Appeal and the Caritas Society.
May Appeal
St. Mary’s parishioners offer charitable contributions to Catholic Charities through the annual May Appeal at the church.
Caritas Society
More than 100 parishioners at St. Mary’s belong to the Caritas Society, which was founded in 1985 by Bishop Pierre DuMaine to provide significant financial support for the ongoing work of Catholic Charities in Santa Clara County.

Caritas Society Members have donated $15.2 million for critical programs that strengthen families and build economic self-sufficiency, including housing services, job skills training and placement, financial education, immigration legal services, refugee resettlement, older adult services, mental health counseling, youth and family services, and education.
