It’s time again to start looking forward to the St. Mary’s Country Fair. This year our General Raffle will include some exciting new prizes, however, we still hope to expand our prize offerings to include air miles, a vacation home stay, and any other electronics, perhaps a flat-screen TV? So if you or anyone you know would like to donate such an item, please have them contact Leslie Wood before August 1, 2009. Thank you for the many years of generosity and we appreciate your support and dedication to the Country Fair and the General Raffle!
"Music and Social Justice": Everyone is invited to this special event featuring Saratoga Composer Henry Mollicone, who will describe how music inspires social justice movements, using musical examples from the 20th century. Sunday at 7 p.m., July 26. See flyer for more info ...

All Young Adults Welcome!
We invite all young adults (anywhere from age 18-mid 40's) to join us! Officially known as the SFS YA group (Social, Faith Sharing and Service Young Adult Group), we meet monthly for fun events, service projects, and to share our faith experiences with one another. Based out of St. Mary's Parish in Los Gatos, all young adults are welcome to attend. We especially welcome our brothers and sisters from neighboring parishes, including: Sacred Heart, Church of the Ascension, St. Joseph of Cupertino, Queen of Apostles, St. Martin of Tours, St. Lucy's, St. Thomas of Canterbury, and St. Frances Cabrini, among others.
For more information about upcoming events, contact Chris Miller at camillerlg@aol.com or check the weekly bulletin.

Hello Friends,
SAVE THE DATE for the St. Mary’s Country Fair – October 9, 10 and 11th. Currently we are working on FUN new activities which include a magician, an all day petting zoo by 4H, a hypnotist, 4 new carnival rides including a real rollercoaster, new inflatables and new bands. There will also be a big surprise where our oak tree stood! However, we need committee help now and cannot rely on the same regulars who commit themselves year after year. (Thank you, you know who you are)! Currently our biggest need is in sponsorship. Because of the economic conditions, we are actively looking for 6-8 positions on our sponsorship team. Currently we have none. Perhaps some of you who work well together can get together and take on this project. We also need a "swank flea market" committee, someone to head up Kid’s Night In, four people to help on advance ticket sales, and a business chair. We also need help in the following areas: atmosphere, food booths, fair program design, security, in-kind donation, set-up, sound & lights, general raffle, supplies and much more. Please, if you can help don’t forget what you get: your photo in the "fair program", a feeling of connection to your school and church, and best of all creation of “fun” for children who will remember this event forever! Our kindergartners told me the Country Fair is the “best days of their lives”! Wow, that’s powerful motivation! Please contact us as soon as possible if you can help and we look forward to having you as part of our team! Annette Nystrom and Tina Lally or call 354-6433 or email us at fair_chairs@stmaryslg.org.
